The third-floor room featured three big windows with a peek-a-boo view of Mt. Monadnock. The queen bed offered comfort with nice linens, adding to the overall charm despite an aging interior.
The inn showed signs of neglect, with peeling paint and a weedy lawn becoming immediately noticeable upon arrival. Some amenities felt lacking, like no television or control over the heating system, which turned from scalding to cold overnight, making for a rather uncomfortable experience.

the monadnock inn has a cozy atmosphere and a lovely design. our room was clean and well laid out, with a very comfortable bed. the location is ideal, nestled in a quiet area near the historic jaffrey center. i loved that the bathroom had a clawfoot tub, which added a nice touch to our stay. definitely a pleasant experience overall.

The room was quite small, but
the charm of the historic inn made up for it. We had a cozy stay, although the facilities needed attention. The staff's friendliness was a plus, but I wish there had been better communication about breakfast and amenities.

The new owners of Monadnock Inn are really trying to restore the place, which shows promise. I felt welcomed by the family, and they seem eager to make improvements. The location is perfect for those visiting Mt. Monadnock, so that’s definitely a plus. My room had a comfortable bed and a nice layout, with a clean bathroom featuring a clawfoot tub. However, it was hard to ignore the state of disrepair in other parts of the inn. The carpets were stained and had an old smell. There were no coffee options in the morning, and the breakfast that’s usually expected just wasn’t there. I also noticed the exterior needed significant work. large potholes in the driveway really detracted from the overall experience. Staff presence was lacking at times, making me feel like I was in an abandoned house. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who wants a polished experience. With time, I think this place could shine, but it needs a lot of work first.

It was just an excellent fit for a cursory stop in Jaffrey with best value. The four-poster bed was super comfy and made for a cozy night.

Room with nice vintage furniture was cozy. Lovely large windows provided great light. The place needs updates and repairs on the exterior. Staff presence lacking at times, making it feel deserted. Plenty of outdoor activities close by, such as cycling and golf.

Recommend it for couples
The inn had this good charm that made it cozy, especially the giant four-poster bed that felt like a dream to sleep on. The dinner was to die for! We had all you can eat Prime Rib, and every bite was just really good. The chef even came out to greet us. It felt personal, you know?
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for what we got, it was still reasonable.

My favorite part was the cozy giant four-poster bed! 🛏️ The breakfast had delicious pancakes I could eat every day. A drawback was the need for some updates throughout the inn.
